Many natural ingredients that come from your kitchen can be used to make homemade face scrubs. You can also use lemon juice or honey for different benefits. Honey is great because not only will it help heal your scars, but it has anti-bacterial properties as well as moisturizing!

Homemade Face Scrub Recipes For Acne Scars

1) Cinnamon and Brown Sugar Exfoliating Mask

Mix together 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 teaspoons of honey until it forms a thick paste. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes (longer if you have time). Then rinse with warm water, and pat dry with a towel. Do this twice a day or as needed to get rid of acne scars

2) Baking Soda Scrub for Clearing Skin

This is one of the most popular homemade scrubs for getting rid of acne scars because baking soda has the ability to gently exfoliate, remove dead skin cells and clear out pores. Simply mix together 2 teaspoons of baking soda with 1 teaspoon of water to form a paste, then apply it all over your face in gentle circular motions for about two minutes. Let your homemade acne scrub sit on your face for another minute or so, then rinse off with lukewarm water. Do this daily to get rid of acne scars

3) Strawberry Rejuvenation Mask

Mix 1 tablespoon each of pure honey and strawberries (the more ripe the better) until you get a smooth mixture that forms a thick paste. 4) Milk Mask for Acne Scars

Mix 1 tablespoon of pure milk cream with 1/2 teaspoon each of oatmeal and lemon juice, then apply to your face and leave it on for about 20 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and apply a good moisturizer or sunscreen since this facial mask will make your skin extra sensitive to sunlight now. Milk contains lactic acid which helps exfoliate dead cells from the surface of the skin naturally, thereby, removing damaged skin and impurities that may have caused acne scars to darken your complexion.

5) Cucumber Peel for Acne Scars

Extract the juice from half a cucumber, then apply it on your face evenly with a cotton ball or clean cosmetic wedge sponge. Make sure to cover all the areas where you have blemishes on your face, especially those acne scars. Leave this mask on for at least 10 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water first and then followed by cold-water rinse. Pat dry with a soft towel. NOTE:  If your skin is highly sensitive, you might want to dilute the cucumber juice with water before applying it on your face.

6) Oatmeal Face Mask for Reducing Acne Scars

Blend 2 cups of rolled (old fashioned) oats until fine powder form then add 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar or sea salt , 1 teaspoon of olive oil, 4 tablespoons of any kind of milk then stir all ingredients thoroughly. Add more milk if necessary so that this mixture can be spreadable when you apply it to your skin in thick layer. Let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing off thoroughly with warm water followed by cold-water rinse to seal the moisture of your skin.

7) Honey and Cinnamon Scrub for Pimples and Acne Scars

Add 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder (make sure you get the one without any additives), 5 teaspoons olive oil in a bowl then stir all ingredients thoroughly to blend them into creamy mixture before using it. Apply this mixture onto your face in circular motion for 10 minutes before rinsing off thoroughly with water. You can also add few drops of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar after you massage this mask on your face before washing it off.

8) Banana Face Mask for Fighting Acne Scars and Pimple Marks

Blend half banana with 2 tablespoons cottage cheese until smooth paste forms, then apply this paste on the skin of your face and leave it for 5 minutes before rinsing off with cold water.
